The Arabic NACO Funnel allows catalogers to contribute Arabic name headings to the Library of Congress Name Authority File (NAF), even if their local institution is not a NACO library. No previous NACO experience or training is required, although it is helpful. Training and review can be done entirely remotely via e-mail and through OCLC’s review files.
Headings submitted to the NAF must adhere to the relevant rules in RDA. Additional assistance for NACO work generally is available in the NACO Participants Manual.
