MELANET

The Committee on Cataloging has been reconstituted to identify and consider issues, make recommendations, and work with other appropriate bodies on matters related to the descriptive and subject cataloging, classification, and content designation of materials from and about the Middle East as defined in MELA's Bylaws.

The Committee is comprised of five elected members and two ex-officio liaisons, one from the Library of Congress and the other from ALA’s CCAAM committee. Rebecca Routh agreed to serve as Secretary and send periodic reports to the MELA listserv informing its members of the Committee’s activities. :
